What is a boiler plane?

Steam boiler boilers are a closed becana device that is used to heat water to produce steam (steam), heat from the combustion of fuel in the boiler will be transferred to a medium of water flowing in pipes, when the water temperature has reached a certain temperature then evaporation will occur. The type of boiler can be distinguished from various kinds of things such as characteristics, work methods, type of pipe and fuel used. Each type of boiler has its advantages and disadvantages, as we have described below:

Tube Type Based Boilers (Pipes):

1. Fire Tube Boiler

In this boiler has two parts in it, namely the part of the tube which is the place of combustion and bagn barrel / barrel containing fluid. This type of fire pipe boiler has the characteristics of producing a low amount of steam and limited capacity.

The principle of action: The ignition process occurs in the pipe and the heat generated is delivered directly into the boiler which contains water.

Pros: The installation process is quite easy and does not require special settings, does not require a large area and has a low cost.

Disadvantages: Having a burning place that is difficult to reach when you want to be cleaned, low steam capacity and less efficient because a lot of heat is wasted.

2. Water Tube.

Having construction that is almost the same as the type of fire pipe, this type also consists of pipes and barrels, which distinguishes only the side of the pipe which is filled with water while the barrel side is where the combustion occurs. The characteristic of this type is to produce a relatively large amount of steam.

Working Principle: The ignition process occurs on the outside of the pipe, so that heat will be absorbed by the water flowing in the pipe.

Strengths: It has a large steam capacity, relatively higher efficiency and the furnace is easy to reach when it is cleaned.

Disadvantages: The initial investment cost is quite expensive, requires a large area and requires additional components in terms of handling water.

Based on the type of fuel

1. Solid Fuel

This boiler type uses solid fuels such as wood, coal, with characteristics such as relatively cheaper fuel prices and more efficiency compared to electric boilers.

Working Principle: Heating comes from combustion of solid fuels or it can also be a mixture of several solid fuels (coal and wood) that are assisted with oxygen.

Pros: Fuel is easy to obtain and cheaper.

Disadvantages: Combustion time is difficult to clean.

2. Oil Fuel

This type has fuel from petroleum fraction, with the characteristics of having more expensive combustion raw materials, but having better efficiency values ​​compared to the others.

Working Principle: Heating from sources of combustion between a mixture of liquid fuels (kerosene, diesel, residue) with oxygen and heat sources.

Pros: Has a little residual combustion so it's easy to clean and easy to obtain raw materials.

Disadvantages: Having expensive raw material prices and expensive construction.
